Kolby Simmons leads by four shots with a two round total of 142 (72-70).

A familiar face in the top-ten every year in the AAGA City Open, Kolby Simmons shot a
1-under-par round of 70 today. Paired with his even par round at Foxborough Country Club yesterday, he takes a 4-shot lead going into the third round at Heather Hilll Country Club tomorrow.

He shot a 2-under-par round of 69. His round included 4 birdies and just 2 bogeys.

It deserves mentioning that Joe O'Malley had a temendous back nine at Foxborough Country Club yesterday. He shot 31 with 5 birdies and no bogies. He continued the good play at Wentworth Hills today with a 1-over-par,72 for a two day total of 146.

Patrick Joyce, the first round leader, got off to a good start from his 7:40 tee time at Wentworth Hills Country Club. He promptly birdied the 1st hole, perhaps making a statement to the 97 others in the field that you will have to beat me if you want to win the coveted AAGA City Open. Kolby Simmons, in similar fashion, birdied his first hole to remain just 2 shots back. Simmonsthen birdied holes 1, 5, 6 and 7 to shoot 33 the front nine to capture the early lead.

Unfortunately for Joyce, a triple bogey on the par-4, 13th and a double bogey on the par-3, 16th derailed his round. He finiished with a 76 for a two day total of 146.

Today, the AAGA reduced the field to 50 players and ties. The scores below indicate who made the cut and will play the two remaining rounds at Heather Hill Country Club tomorrow and Norton Country Club for the final round on Sunday. Some are looking beyond today with hopes of finishing in the top-40 on Sunday which earns them exemption into next year's AAGA 2025 City Open.
