Foxboro Country Club members Lane Lajoie and Kevin Willwerth were declared winners of the rain shortened AAGA John "Buck" Renner Memorial Two-Ball held this weekend at Wentworth Hills Country Club in Plainville, MA.

Their net score of eleven under par 60 Saturday was actually a tie with Charles "Bud" Chatfield and his nephew Davis Chatfield, the reining City Open Champion. The Chatfields were awarded the Gross division Championship based on their fine seven under par effort of 64.

Lajoie's gross round of 69, which included natural birdies on holes one, four, and fourteen, along with an eagle three on the par five fifth, was the catalyst for their score. The team had net-nines of 28 and 32.

Peter Gay and David Grimes played off each other well to post a 61, good for second net.

Third at 63 were Tom Raposa and Eric Arziouar.

Three teams rounded out the award places at 64, Dave Hibbert and Andy Wilder, Peter Flynn and Mark Willwerth and Bob Beach and Gary Delude.

Second gross at 65 went to Mike Douillette and Kolby Simmons.

We want the players to know that the greens fees that would have been paid for Sunday's round have been placed in the AAGA and Renner Scholarships accounts in John's name.

We sincerely thank Wentworth HIlls for their hospitality. We believe that players found the course playable and in fine condition.
